"An intimate restaurant to enjoy some unforgettable moments "

Welcome to this unique house located in the very heart of the Pyrenees and under the eyes of the omnipresent mount Turbón, where since times long passed great quantities of energy have flowed. The Templars benefited from it, as did the witches who were persecuted throughout Europe and took refuge in the surrounding area. Today, you can find, only 7Kms away from this establishment, the Buddhist temple of Dag Shan Kaghiu, and 19 Kms away the Marian Shrine at Torreciudad. 60 Kms away is the Ordesa National Park, 40 Kms away is the Sierra de Guara and Canyons National Park and a limitless number of lakes and beautiful corners.

TORRE ARNES was built in the 19th century on the site of a 14th century building from which the original vaults and wine cellar have been preserved. ‘Señor’ Lasierra admires ‘Doña’ Arnes, a beautiful bourgeois lady, but she marries a landowner from Benasque. Meanwhile, ‘Señor’ Lasierra attends to his studies In Madrid and becomes a Senator. Suddenly and unexpectedly he learns that ‘Doña’ Arnes has become a widow. He immediately leaves for Graus and upon arrival asks to marry her. She thinks about it and accepts, with three conditions: 1. That he should build her the most beautiful house around. 2. That it should lie in a magical and special place overlooking the whole estate. 3.That it should be true love and forever. That is how this ancestral home, which shone in the 19th century, was born… and in the 20th century was about to be lost when it was only used by tenants to house cattle until such a time that it fell into disrepair and was abandoned… Today, in the 21st century it has returned to its former glory. The current owners Ángel Morales Del Valle y Reiner Eduard Hubner, two entrepreneurs arrived from the Balearic Islands, have embarked upon a mission to totally renovate and restore the building into a charming hotel. Currently, the restaurant and many of the rooms are open to the public, with the hope that more will be available shortly.

The Interior…

Just as in life, you’ll find that we have paid attention to all those little details; right to the last corner. We’ve refurbished all of the walls to recover the building’s original stone and brickwork. The tile work has been restored, (examples of some of the first hydraulic arabesque tiles from 19th century Barcelona tile factories); the balcony railings, and banisters are also original features. The structure of the original house has been maintained, adapting it for its current use. The house has been lit respecting its design, its surroundings and especially, to create a welcoming atmosphere. With regard to furniture, our aim was to achieve a touch of rustic elegance and stateliness interspersed with some modern style elements such as pictures and lamps, in colourful and cheerful shades to create a difference. All the fittings, glassware, cutlery, etc…have been carefully chosen to give a touch of glamour and individuality, to embellish the entire look of the house. Besides all this, we also offer a unique, friendly, individual service, with the aim that all our guests feel at home; sharing with us their suggestions, ideas and new experiences.

A Hotel with Character

In this unique and peaceful environment, where the stars sparkle in a special way, sounds ring with musical echoes…this distinctive mansion stands majestically on a vantage point, radiant with beneficial energy, welcoming everybody to share its uniqueness and peaceful tranquillity. With the rooms, the house itself has dictated the distribution, also revealing its stonewalls which contrast with the rest of the colours. We have paid special attention to the hand-made tile work with some specially designed features just for this house. When dealing with the furniture, we have aimed for rustic elegance contrasted with modern touches for the lighting. The fabrics we have chosen are natural silks and moirés to achieve solemnity but also youthful lightness through its colourful shine. Everything promotes harmonious living with a sense of suggestive dynamism combined with certain stamina, which invites you to relax, and to spend a thousand and one unforgettable dreamy nights.

A Careful Selection of Products

We offer a varied and rich cuisine, with fish, meats and vegetables, but we specialize in typical Aragonese dishes such as Recao de Binéfar (savoury baked beans with rice and assorted vegetables) , Pollo al Chilindrón (chicken in a tasty tomato and pepper sauce), rabbit and escargot, stuffed hen with truffles, lamb’s leg, potatoes cooked Albalate style, Crespillos (dessert of spinach leaves fried in a sweet batter), etc…We prepare our food traditionally using local recipes, taking time to ensure that the food releases its own juices and flavour, without the need for artificial taste enhancers or colourings. We only use extra virgin olive oil. We use marine salt without anti-agglomerates. We offer our clients a 100% Aragonese product. Our policy is to stock up with Aragonese local, provincial and regional products. BODEGAS ARNES - THE FLAVOUR OF ARAGON

Message from Doña Arnés

“Go away, mundane, shallow dandies!
No flag, nor nation are welcome to this celebration,
but those with sensitive hearts
who care for all sensations.

                        Together we’ll make Torre Arnés
a magical place for emotion.
We’ll join our hearts together
throughout the generations.

We’ll set an Aragonese example
of long standing tradition.
TRUE AND GREAT PASSIONS
ARE REFLECTED UPON THIS CONSTRUCTION.”
